This traditional project explored a refocusing of the existing house to provide greater connectivity to its surroundings and origin. Earlier non-character extensions were removed to maintain the original family home.

Our designs were carefully crafted to integrate living areas with the now extensive Easterly and Northerly yard. The materials of the existing house were refashioned using traditional elements to reconnect it to its historic context.

Drawing on the language of the previous extension through its brick-detailed parapet, the pool pavilion dissolves the threshold between interior and exterior. Expansive glazing opens onto the pool, terrace, and tennis court beyond, creating a continuous environment that celebrates outdoor living and entertaining.
